Due to this, the 44th and the 501st struck up a friendship that would persist throughout the Clone Wars.Īs time wore on, the Phantom became a pride and joy for many in the Republic Navy, as requests from other units came flooding in asking for Anhal's fleet to send support.

Jeden, often leading covert missions with Nightingale Squad, left the fleet in the hands of Admiral Anhal, who began using the fleet to assist other divisions, especially the 501st under Anakin Skywalker, who were often outnumbered due to also having a three-ship fleet. The Phantom was often used seperate from the 44th, who either operated their own ground-based missions or were on entirely seperate systems. When the 44th was placed under command of Jeden, now a Jedi Master and High General of Republic Special Forces, the Phantom became his home, as the Clone Wars began.

Because the armour was trimmed, heavier guns could be fitted to the ship, and with the boosted engines, the Phantom was soon the fastest Venator-class serving the Republic Navy. Renamed the Phantom, the ship received enormous modifications during it's time on Geonosis, including trimmed armour, more powerful prototype engines and a cloaking shield, effectively making it the largest stealth ship ever created. The Resolve was soon made the lead ship in a 3-cruiser fleet that would be home to the 44th Special Forces Division, the unit that Nightingale Squad was part of. Jeden met with Jedi Master Yoda on the bridge, as well as the ship's admiral, the young Olan Anhal, before the ship travelled with most of the Republic fleet over Geonosis to Coruscant. During the battle, one Jedi Knight named Jeden Vesal arrived on the ship alongside a squad of four Clone troopers, named Nightingale Squad, after a successful sabotage mission. The Phantom was originally named the Resolve, and was actually a medical ship, serving on Geonosis as an 'orbital hospital' during and after the battle.
